Face masks on rotation

Face masks

Time for some beauty talk in today’s post. Lately I’ve been using masks a lot, almost on a daily basis I would say. The reasons for this is that my skin is not perfect as I would like it to be. Even if I don’t have big problems I still have some issues like pores and some occasional pimples that I need to take care of. So I’ve been paying more attention to the products I’m using, my daily routine and added some helpers in the form of face masks.

For the most part of my early twenties I’ve heard people saying that my skin will clear out eventually, but after 10 years of waiting for this to happen I finally understood that’s not true. Now that I’m 30 I know that the best thing you can do for your skin is start taking care of it as early as possible. This is way I started using face masks more often and wanted to share my current favourites with you.

Hidratating night mask

I’ve always removed makeup in the evening but was really lacking behind in the hydratation department and only applying a cream in the morning as make up base. This is totally not the way to go about skin care, hydratation is essential for antiaging and skin care, especially with all the rough cleaning agents found in most of the face washes these days.

This Sephora overnight moisturizing mask has a very light formula that keeps moisture inside the skin. It should be used every second evening after applying you serum and cream.

Clay mask

For pore cleansing there is nothing better and more efficient than clay. I like to use this pink clay masks in the morning as it dries quickly, only 10 minutes required, just enough to have my coffee. Also it’s sensitive formula doesn’t dry out the skin.

Collagen mask

I love most of Sephora products. I think they are an affordable alternative for some of the products that are very popular out there. They always smell amazing and have a great texture. I use this mask 1 or 2 times a week when I feel my skin is tired and needs a bit of help. Sits on the face for 10 minutes then you massage it into the skin, double benefits from all the active ingredients and the facial massage.

deep cleansing pore mask

Once a week I like to use the Kiehl’s Rare Earth mask for deep pore cleansing. I love how my skin is so smooth after using this masks. I used it mostly during the weekend as the drying time is around 20-25 minutes. This mask is base on clay and works for pore minimizing as well.

What you have to keep in mind that any masks has to be used several times for optimum results and even though will see improvements after each use don’t expect miracles. For long term results you need to make skin care a priority.

A good mask can make all the difference to your skin. Avene makes one that I absolutely love and use twice a week – it’s super hydrating. The Keihl’s one in your arsenal sounds fabulous, too.

Great post! I had skin problem when I was young too. I started to take care of my skin since I was 28. I always forget to use mask but I try to do it at least once a week. 😉

Take care and keep in touch!
