Fashion bloggers and their bad reputation

Why do fashion bloggers have a bad reputation? I don’t have an answer, this is rather my question for you. I’m trying to understand why fashion blogging, a relatively young industry has already a bad image in the eyes of people.

Look like there is a high number of fashion blogs out there these days and while that is true only a small percentage actually make a living out of it. All the others do it because it’s their passion, it’s fun, they like it, etc. Sure, nobody is going to complain if blogging will turn into a full-time job, but still the vast majority blog without any financial reward. Considering this it’s not easy for me to understand sometimes the negative connotation that is attached to fashion blogging. All these bloggers who don’t get rewarded will feature only products they love and will not try to sell you anything. But even if they would get some sort of compensation many still have integrity and will not accept to promote something they don’t like. I believe it’s not so difficult to spot those bloggers who compromise on this aspect.

Also are fashion bloggers, and here I’m referring to those who became well known, some kind of aspirational mini celebrities? Maybe it looks like they have it so easy in life like they don’t have to work a day. Let me assure you that is not the case, there is a lot of struggle and work behind being a blogger or creating content. It’s not an easy job but it can be a fun one and this is what makes it look so effortless.

So no reason to think they don’t work for those results and when it comes to trust you just need to choose carefully who you are following. I can assure you there are a lot of inspirational bloggers out there and I will share some of the ones I like and follow in a future post.
