I don’t have an editorial calendar for my blog. Most of the times I take pictures during the weekend, when it’s winter, or in the evenings when the days are longer, so you can call my photoshoots and outfits unplanned and so are my posts which are mostly written late at night. Like this one for example, while adding these pictures to an empty post I’m debating whit myself what I should write about. I’m trying to decide between telling you about the summer and holiday mood I’m currently in and which explains this fun outfit, or writing about my moving history. As you guys know from my week in picture series I moved several times already and lived in so many different places. All great experiences but not so easy at the same time. So which one should I pick, an outfit related topic or a personal story. Not such an obvious choice, after all this is a fashion or better said personal style blog so I need to strike a balance, especially after the last post with the spring lookbook and the story that inspired it, which was a personal story about little moments of happiness. I guess I’m going to put away the moving topic for the time being and talk about these pictures, the wonderful weather and how amazing is to take pictures near the beach at 9 am in the morning.
For the past 2 weeks I’ve been living in Barceloneta, a neighbourhood close to the beach in Barcelona. My current flat is 5 minutes walk from the sea and it’s couldn’t be more different than my place in Prague. I loved that flat I had in a new building, close to Prague centre and the city life, and especially loved all the comfort that comes with having a lot of space. It seems I’ve traded all that for what feels like the tiniest apartment in Barcelona, where hot water runs for only 10 minutes, then it’s gone. I guess I live the bohemian lifestyle now. This place has such a different energy than all the other cities and even different than the rest of Barcelona. Life in Barceloneta starts only after 10 am and on the streets you have the feeling that everyone knows each other, it’s really a community. I’m eating out even more now because a dishwasher seems to be a luxury but my days start with a walk on the beach and sometimes even end that way too. I feel like I’m on a prolonged holiday so I’ve taken out some of my fun, colourful outfits. That is obviously not the case as I’ve been working quiet a lot and didn’t have so many days off but it’s so hard to shake up this feeling with all the palm trees around. Perhaps this is just the extra sun I’ve been getting in the past few days, or it’s just the temporary situation I’m currently in. Either way, I’ve never heard anybody complaining about holidays and I’m not complaining either.
